NOMINATIONS OF OFFICERS
COUNCIL FOR EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN CONNECTICUT
PRESIDENT 2005
Foster M. Crawford
Foster is CEO of Crawford Education Group, LLC an educational consulting service specializing in Special Education and Pupil Services. He is a past president of ConnCase and of the Western Connecticut Chapter of CEC. Currently he serves as the interim president of CEC-CT. Previously he worked as a Supervisor of Special Education in Danbury, Director of Special Education in Darien and Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Waterbury and Stamford.
PRESIDENT ELECT 2005 (PRESIDENT 2006)
Delar K. Singh, Ph.D.
Delar is the interim Secretary for the Connecticut Council of Exceptional Children. She works as an Assistant Professor of Special Education at Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, CT. Delar completed her Ph.D. and M.Ed. in special education at the University of Pittsburgh. She has served the field of special education as a teacher, researcher, and teacher educator. Some of her research focuses on families, the preparation of general education teachers for inclusion, and effectiveness of online instruction.
TREASURER 2005
Lynne Packard
Lynne is currently the interim treasurer CEC-CT. She is a Sixth grade special education teacher, Sunset Ridge School, East Hartford. She has over 10 years experience as supervisor of program services with non-profit agencies funded by DMR (Bethphage, Greenwich ARC, MARC Community Resources). She holds a Bachelor and Master degree in Special Education from Saint Joseph College.
Roberta Abell
Roberta is an experienced Supervisor of Special Education for the Waterbury Public Schools. She is President of the Connecticut Council of Language-Speech-Hearing Coordinators in the Public Schools and has been active in ConnCase. She serves on the Conference Committee for the Connecticut Speech and Hearing Association.
ADDITIONAL NOMINATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM THE FLOOR AT THE MEETING. CANDIDATES NOMINATED MUST BE MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING OF THE COUNCIL FOR EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN AT THE TIME OF NOMINATION, ELECTION, AND THROUGHOUT THEIR TERM OF OFFICE.
