Fascinating Video - Mac User with Mac OS X and SwitchXS

Amsterdam - 7 September 2005 - AssistiveWare today announced the release of an amazing video. Marie-France lives in Paris. Ten years ago she was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Motor Neurone Disease (MND) or Lou Gherigs Disease. She gradually became paralyzed and lost her voice. Now she can only move her eyes and a jaw muscle. Thanks to that jaw muscle, Mac OS X and AssistiveWare's SwitchXS(R) she still plays a pivotal role in the household by managing the bank accounts, doing the shopping, and keeping in touch with friends. She also uses AssistiveWare's KeyStrokes(R) for word prediction and AssistiveWare's Proloquo(R) for communication. Watch the 4 minute video in pristine H.264 (requires QuickTime 7 or Mac OS X Tiger) or several other formats (mp4, QuickTime 6, Real) in English or French at http://www.assistiveware.com/videos.php
