Job Description : What We’re Looking For The communications content specialist is responsible for developing internal and external content that supports the HNTB’s business objectives. This position will work in collaboration with the broader corporate communications team to develop and implement print, digital and video content for thought leadership and marketing materials as well as the firm’s digital channels, including social media channels, website, email and apps. Primary Focus Will Include: Strong copy writing and editing skills with knowledge of AP standards Develop and post HNTB’s social media content Work with brand managers to develop materials to support markets and geographies Develop content to promote people and projects across the firm Support national awards program highlighting HNTB’s projects and people Project manage and/or produce video content for a wide range of channels and uses Well organized and detail oriented, with strong relationship building and time management skills Preferred Qualifications and Skills: 4-5 years relevant experience An eye for design and aesthetics Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc) Experience with WordPress IND What You’ll Need Essential Responsibilities: Manage trade media relations for all three HNTB subsidiary companies. Assist in directing mainstream and local media relations activities for all three HNTB subsidiary companies. Manage external communications for HNTB Architecture, Inc., including developing external communications plans and reports. Administer HNTB’s media management system. Administer the newsroom and resource center sections of Develop and distribute all national news releases for all three HNTB subsidiary companies. Provide media training and local market media relations counseling. Manage deadlines for articles authored by HNTB employees for trade publications. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or relevant field 3 years of relevant experience Knowledge of media relations and AP writing style required. Must have excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to develop relationships with national media and company executives. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and work on deadline.
