Job Description : We are looking for an enthusiastic team member with phenomenal marketing, communication, copywriting skills, and graphic design and layout skills.Who You AreYou are creative. You are excited to develop marketing plans, create email promotions, and generate excitement about our events, resources, and program. You are thoughtful in creating a plan and fast and meticulous in development and implementation. You have excellent writing skills with an eagle eye for proofing materials.You work well independently, rarely ever miss deadlines, and are able to set priorities with minimal on-site supervision. You are optimistic about getting it all done but are pragmatic about what it will take. You are willing to ask for help and clarification but generally are able to understand tasks assigned and run with it on your own. You enjoy thinking about creative solutions.Working in close partnership with the Executive Director, the Communications & Content Specialist will have the following key responsibilities:Social media management and engagementWriting CACFP stories, press releases, blogs, and website materialsDevelop print materials from concept to production including showcase materials, calendar copy, training modules, webinar materials, conference program and design elementsSocial MediaCreate/source materials for social media posts as primary social media managerEngage with social media community to drive participation and community growthWebsite & Content DevelopmentWrite/publish member showcase stories, press releases, conference copyManage and contribute to CACFP blog with board, team, and guest authorsWrite/create pillar pages, website content, and graphicsDrive website search engine optimizationEvents & TrainingSupport training webinar developmentDesign PowerPoints and resource handoutsConferenceTRAVEL: Staff conference as needed (mid-April)Write/manage conference press, photographs, social media coverageInterview/publish key stories (Friend of CACFP, Scholarship winners, keynote speakers)Other Committee Support as neededLocationEmployees of NCA primarily work independently from home offices. Each employee should have the capacity within their home to set-up a work environment or office. NCA will provide a computer, phone, and office supplies.Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or a related field of study (or 6+ years in relevant work history)Three or more years of work experience in related fieldDemonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and manage resultsStrong marketing and/or communications experience with the ability to plan and implement a strategic, integrated marketing approachKnowledge of marketing, print production, and digital communicationExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skillsIndependently employ creativity, attention to detail, and conceptualize project needsStrong graphic design and layout abilitiesExperience with WordPressFlair for Social Media management and engagementMust meet physical requirements of the positionPreferred Qualifications: Prefer candidates with fluent command of SpanishWho We AreWe are a National Association which provides education, support, and resources to organizations who administer the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
