Job Description : General Summary The Content Creator/Copywriter supports the Senior Content Creator and will be responsible to create high-level strategic content for use across print and digital (DTC, retail.com) and various advertising and social media outlets that drive consumer action and engagement for each brand and online/offline channel. In this remote or hybrid position, he/she will work with the business, creative, digital merchandising and e-commerce teams to accomplish content strategy objectives and to ensure a superior consumer experience on all properties. Primary / Key Essential Functions and Responsibilities Work collaboratively with internal cross functional stakeholders to develop compelling creative that supports the unique and differentiated brand experience for multiple brands and categories. Understand how strategy translates into concept and execution that is on target for our business teams and helps drive key initiatives and marketing objectives. Support overall organization during peak workload periods with “all hands on deck” attitude. Ensure content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for each channel including online, social media, email, mobile, video and print (packaging, manuals, advertising). Maximizes search impact of all content. Strong communication skills a must to interact with others in the organization. Possess strong understanding of the business of design, creative approach to problem solving, and solution-oriented attitude. Write product and category content and long and short form articles and other content. Optimize content for SEO, based on keyword priorities and perform ongoing keyword discovery to identify content gaps and opportunities and drive content planning/creation. Collaborate and provide guidance to marketing, creative, and content teams to generate content with SEO and search marketing best practices in mind. Review or create SEO titles and descriptions that are appealing to the consumer and are structured to boost site rankings. Proof artwork including instruction manuals, packaging, product detail page templates, assembly videos and other artwork routing cross functionally. Proactively monitor competitors in terms of being familiar with their approaches to content. Other duties assigned by the supervisor. Ability to clearly articulate the business goal behind the creation of a piece of content. Proven writing and editorial skills, evidenced by a portfolio of work Leads by example with equal emphasis on quality of work, creativity, and respect of others. Education and/or Experience and Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or related field Minimum Experience: Two to four (2 – 4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Financial Responsibility n/a Management / Supervisory Authority n/a Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
