We’re looking for a Content Designer III to join our Onboarding and Readiness team. You’ll envision and deliver delightful experiences that help people list their properties. We work on a global scale for multiple brands, across devices and platforms, in a diverse and collaborative environment. What you’ll do: Reporting into our centralized Content Design practice, you’ll drive the content strategy and the approach to content design within the Onboarding and Readiness team. As a member of our XD community, you’ll also be an advocate for human-centered content strategy and design. And while no two days here are identical, your main responsibilities as a Content Designer III will look something like this.. Responsibilities: Apply holistic, customer-focused approaches to drive the content strategy in your product area – from onboarding to in-app education experiences. Use human-centered design methods to design, craft, and test content solutions that address real customer challenges. Orchestrate a clear and compelling voice and tone — even if you don’t own all the content — across complex product areas. Identify and use scalable frameworks (e.g., matrixes and other structured documentation) to tackle structural problems with product content. Design content solutions to improve systems, overcome technical constraints, and reduce content debt. Apply UI frameworks, modularity, localization, reuse, and related concepts to design content solutions that scale.Use both qualitative and quantitative insights and business analytics to drive content insights and solutions.Partner across teams to improve the accessibility, inclusion, readability, and translatability of product content. Who you are: We realize that content strategy and content design are constantly evolving, and we know that no two people enter this field through the same path. So we’re not expecting you to be a specialist in everything listed here, but we do ask that you demonstrate expertise commensurate with the job level in whichever methods you apply. We’re also looking for people who will contribute frameworks to our growing team and our design system, so we’re excited to see how you scale your thinking! Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, as well as experience in core skills such as UX Writing, Content Audits and Analysis, Content Mapping and Modeling, Content Planning and Sourcing, Conversational Design, Information Architecture, and Storytelling. (This is not a content marketing role.) Able to audit, analyze, structure, create, and present content independently using established frameworks. Understanding of human-centered design (HCD) practices. A thoughtful, empathetic, and inclusive approach to content design that meets every user where they are. Increased focus on content problems across systems and product areas. Strong skills in facilitation, presentation, and storytelling, and the ability to communicate compelling rationale and narratives to your team and partners. A passion for travel and for our mission. A portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills. We’re especially interested in seeing examples of work you’ve done for Android and iOS apps, and if you have experience working in a platform or two-sided marketplace, it’s a definite plus!
