In this position, you will: Help grow an already powerful inbound marketing program Supervise and participate in our thought leadership content. Perform original research and data gathering Pitch in and wear a few hats when needed in our sales and marketing efforts wherever solid, persuasive content is concerned, both in writing and review/editing of said content Further develop the content marketing program and offerings at our agency Assist clients with content marketing efforts Attend a few conferences per year to promote our industry-specific content Assist in and supervise our content marketing outreach Stay up to date and constantly learn about our core service offerings in web, strategy, and digital marketing We are a growing company. QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years content marketing experience Portfolio or examples of written work Examples of thought leadership content derived from surveys, data gathering, or other original research Strong understanding of core digital marketing concepts Highly organized, ability to handle multiple clients and projects Proactive, self-starting, learning mindset. You should be a fast and voracious learner without being told to learn, or what to learn Humble confidence. WORK HOURS / LOCATION We expect you to be logged in and working from around 9am to 5pm Central, Monday through Thursday, and 9am to 1pm-ish on Friday — all we ask is you occasionally check your Slack and emails for any client communications late in the day on Friday. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES WRITE Engaging, original content that is high-value and hard to find Connect with thought leaders to gain input and cross-promote content Write industry-specific, high-value content that can be distributed at conferences and used in sales follow-up emails Write marketing copy for our Marketing Leaders Connect events and landing pages, as well as keeping an eye on the copy we use for our own ads and landing pages Supervise the creation and writing of landing pages for O8 website MARKET/SELL Assist sales in selling our content marketing services Develop a more robust content marketing offering, including standardized packages with specific, strategic deliverables Assist sales with conference follow up emails Assist marketing with email nurture sequence development and content writing for our own website SERVE Assist clients with their content and content marketing strategy Work with and supervise our writing team on internal and client projects. LEARN Familiarize yourself with HubSpot, Drupal, and WordPress Ensure we are fully utilizing HubSpot’s monthly flywheel campaigns in our sales and marketing content Stay up-to-date on HubSpot’s agency partnership content, which will in turn help us improve our own content strategy|
