|Job Description :||Content Marketing Associate: Role Summary: We are looking for a highly organized content/copywriter with an audience-first mindset for the role of Content Marketing Associate:. This role will spearhead the implementation of content strategy. This includes utilizing a content calendar, branding guidelines, and key messaging document to craft interesting and well-researched content that drives traffic and engages site visitors. In this role, you’ll create marketing content across multiple channels for several new and existing portfolio companies. This includes but is not limited to investor decks, email campaigns, paid acquisition ad copy, and landing pages. We’re looking for a highly collaborative content creator and leader who can drive work and advocate for excellent brand storytelling. This role sits within Wavemaker’s Venture team, the marketing arm of the venture studio, and will report to the Content Marketing Manager. You Will: Development: Organize marketing content calendars to complete drafts of content or finished projects within the deadline Develop working knowledge of our services and business to understand what investors may experience and create content accordingly Plan, write and proofread engaging content that ties into the overall content strategy of the marketing team Produce well-researched industry-related content Create compelling copy for email campaigns and adjust strategy to meet monthly goals according to analytics Write clear marketing copy to promote our investment opportunities Create and edit copy for company websites Communicate and cooperate with a writing team, including a content manager, content creators, and PR specialists Write content that stays true to Wavemaker Labs and our portfolio companies’ voice and style Respond to and consolidate multiple edits and points of feedback on your content Work with designers to create and edit copy for various internal documentation on a need-be basis Demonstrate an eagerness to learn, be a team player, share information and provide a fresh perspective Delivery: Strong understanding of writing for different channels including web, email, print, social media, etc Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and learn about the industry and the audience Proven ability to weave compelling, engaging copy for any style Direct response sales copywriting experience a strong plus Strong research capabilities and attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure while maintaining a professional attitude What we’re looking for:: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience writing content for demand generation with demonstrated ability to turn technical subject matter into effective content – Portfolio that showcases a mix of long and short-form content – please include a link to your portfolio in your resume Knowledge of SEO best practices required Proficient in Google Applications Previously tackled a wide range of content marketing project showing both range and flexibility of application A holistic approach to content creation, from high level strategy to small design details.
