Works closely to support the efforts of the Marketing Manager and Director, providing marketing campaign execution as necessary for successful implementation of all department projects and campaigns. The ideal candidate is a prolific and talented content creator who knows how to write for different audiences to expand BICSI’s awareness, subscribers, and leads. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills. Responsible for coordination, development and delivery of internal and external communications, and promoting BICSI products and services while reinforcing BICSI’s mission and brand identity. The content marketer is responsible for the planning, creating, and sharing of valuable content to attract and convert prospects into customers, and customers into repeat buyers.Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Critical to this position is a high level of customer care, ability to work closely with other departments and multi-task, and a flexible work style. As a Content Marketing Specialist, you will play a central role in BICSI’s go-to-market execution by creating content targeted to personas at all stages of sales development.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Develops and executes marketing content for various projects developed by the marketing team.Serves as an in-house copywriter for both internal and external content: Write, edit, proofread, and improve content — optimization will be required on a regular and ongoing basisDevelop product positioning and messaging that resonates with target buyer personas and provides messaging direction and guidance to other Editors/Copywriters on the team on a regular basis.Manages mass email campaign content, scheduling, testing, and sending for public branding purposes.Create resources to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, (i.e., articles, whitepapers, infographics, guides etc.)Produce content that will attract visitors to our website through search, social media, and email subscribers.Collaborate with Marketing Department designers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of key stakeholders/audience.Develops messaging for and provides content management of the company’s external and internal websites in coordination with Marketing Manager and Director.Coordinates with the marketing manager to develop story ideas, writes feature articles and writes, edits and distributes to various media outlets.Maintains current and establishes new relationships with industry media to create collaboration.Oversees Corporate Social Responsibility (BICSI Cares) communications/marketing.Works with the Marketing Manager and Director to create content for global media strategy.Assists Marketing Manager and Director with development of Marketing Partnership AgreementsPerform other duties as assigned.Required Skills and Abilities: Language Skills:The individual must be fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is highly desirable.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, and individual should have through knowledge of:Microsoft Office 365Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and Photoshop. Illustrator and Dreamweaver also a plus)InternetWebsite content management systemBlogging software such as WordPressUnderstanding of Web-based resources including online databases and search enginesCustomer database systemsMath Ability:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.Work Environment: The work environment is a cubical (workstation) atmosphere, where low to moderate noise or sound will be heard from or made by others sitting around you. It is usually pleasant with minimal louddisturbances.Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year school is required – Journalism, Communications or Marketing degrees preferred.At least 2 years in a marketing or communication department role is required.· Ability to develop content that provokes engagement.Experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge.Experience building audiences either online or offline.Ability to be both highly creative but also process-driven, able to think scale and rely on data to make decisionsSupervisor Responsibilities: NoneTravel Requirements: Minimal – May be asked to attend (0-2) week-long BICSI conferences each year.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit.
