Job Description : Content Marketing & Strategy ManagerPosition Summary: Content, strategy and e-Commerce: if you get it, you love it. If you don’t, this role isn’t for you.We are actively looking for a content strategist and content team manager—someone capable of recommending and evolving content marketing & UX content strategies (and executing against them) as well as leading a remote team of five creative writers and two editors.Our vision for this role includes content marketing & content creation (content we have, content we evolve and content we create) as well as significantly contributing to varying strategies from a UX perspective (page hierarchies, page content, customer paths / journeys / flows, etc.). For us, this manager contributes to (and leads) content marketing strategies across 5-9 brands. This role also curates and evolves our writing and content creation practice, is a guide and mentor to content-, SEO- and Social-focused copywriters, is a vocal steward for the art, discipline and craft of creative writing and is a welcomed participant in the evolution and refinements of our broader brand strategies.If you are not local to Los Angeles, CA that’s ok. Role can be remote but work on Pacific Time. If you are open to relocating to LA at a point in the future, that would be preferred.Duties & Responsibilities: Reporting to the Sr Creative Director, work with the CMO and Sr CD to assist in developing and implementing brand voices, personalities and brand guides (style, tone, voice, rules, guidelines, etc.) for top Digital Room brands – plus, some persona- and scenario-based exercises rooted in mindsetsHelp develop processes to create and maintain distinct and consistent brand voices across website, email, social and other channelsWork with cross-functional teams (Design & Creative, Product Development, Marketing and Merchandising, etc.) to create content strategies that consider and address customer interests, wants and needs while driving product awareness, sales and other business goalsPartner with the SEO team and stay current with SEO practices to improve search relevance while giving equal consideration to customers and their experiencesDevelop content recommendations that improve customer acquisition, strengthen customer retention, garner media attention and increases links from relevant websitesIncorporate data—and we have a lot of it—as a primary input and report on measurable impacts of content effortsProactively communicate content project objectives, status, barriers and results to all levels of the organizationMentor and manage the content team (seven direct reports) to help evolve, refine and challenge the current level of creative writing while also managing the team’s productivityRequired Experience / Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent8-12 years’ experience in direct response copywriting, branded content, product marketing, and creative development experience3-5 years’ experience with brand strategy, content marketing & strategy and UX-focused content strategy and writing3-5 years’ management experience of copywriters/editorsUnderstanding of a B2B audience preferredExcellent creative writing skills, grammar and craftAbility to analyze and present content and social performanceStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExperience using web analytic tools (Google Analytics), CRMs, social media marketing tools (WordPress, SproutSocial) and top social channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)Strong organizational and project management skillsExcellent communication skills throughout different departments and management levels.Education: Bachelor’s DegreeWork Schedule: Monday to FridayLocation: Sherman Oaks, California or RemoteBenefits: 401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:To keep our staff as safe as possible, we’ve implemented procedures such as: mandatory masks worn in building, temperature checks, plastic barriers, social distancing guidelines, and full time sanitation cleaners .Application Question(s):What is your desired pay range?Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:E-commerce: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
