We are open to remote. #LI-remote About the Role As a content strategist, you’ll drive the voice of Swiftly across all stages of the funnel, from thought leadership to demand-generating campaigns. You’ll understand what content will have the highest impact on our audience from industry research, cross-functional collaboration, and understanding our business objectives. You’ll know how to work with product marketing and demand generation to create a content calendar and deliver on your plan. You are an expert at setting up frameworks for maintaining a consistent, cohesive message and voice. You are a collaborative, creative, and analytical thinker and writer who can turn data, ideas, or product descriptions into compelling stories that build trust with transit agencies while driving Swiftly’s key metrics. What You’ll Do: First Week: Jump into Swiftly University for a crash course in transit, our product, our customers, and more. You’ll get to know the team, read our content, and start to write a few lines. First Month: You’re hitting your stride! Take an assessment of our content systems and start to put a framework in place that will help us bring a consistent voice to market. You should be collaborating closely with demand generation and product marketing to define and execute on our content plan, including blogs, reports, emails, webinars and content for events. First Six Months: You’ll drive the voice of Swiftly with help from our amazing part time writers and the rest of the team. You’ll conduct industry research to understand industry and policy trends and dive head first into learning Swiftly’s customer personas to develop compelling storytelling. You’ll use content metrics like blog views, webinar attendance, and ad performance and make recommendations to the Marketing team to fine tune our approach. You’ll write riveting copy that drives action and performance, informed by data, research, and the voices of our customers. You’ll listen to feedback from the marketing team and other teams to build even stronger narratives. You’ll drive consistency and alignment across our external-facing assets. First Year: You’ll be fluent in the transit industry and Swiftly products and language. You’ll drive strategy, including our 2023 content plan, you’ll smoothly handle multiple projects and are ready to adapt to last-minute adjustments. About You: You are known for phenomenal writing, editing, and collaboration skills You are a strategic thinker, eager to connect the dots between initiatives and brainstorm how content can make an impact You thrive in a flexible, evolving environment and are open to new ideas and inspiration You are confident in turning data, products, and policies into narratives You are driven to understand all there is to know about our audience, you can’t wait to go onsite at transit agencies, listen to recordings, and learn what makes them tick You are organized and able to juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines while ensuring the same for others on the team You have at least 3-5 years of experience writing for a B2B tech company You are a rockstar candidate if you understand the value of SEO and know how to do keyword research to inform content strategy Writing and an eye for smooth language is integral to this role.
