Attractive salary and bonus incentive available.This role will be a full-time, in-office Content Writer to develop B2B thought leadership articles related to M&A and industry sector dynamics (job is in Richmond, VA). The ideal applicant will be experienced in interviewing subject matter experts and/or working from interview transcripts to develop thought leadership article outlines and drafts, and subsequently incorporate feedback and finalize that content.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the firm’s Director of Content Strategy, the Content Writer will develop marketing content and continually innovate and improve the content process, products, and strategy:Draft, revise and finalize content articles related to client industries, with a specific focus on sector dynamics related to M&A value creationInterface directly with firm bankers to launch projects, discuss and integrate feedback, and plan content campaignsWork closely with Director of Content Strategy and Director of Marketing to apply brand principles, adopt preferred tone and style, and integrate lessons learned from analytics and past campaignsGuide content projects through development process, from project scoping through internal client approval and sign-off from compliance and business leadershipJOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Exemplary business writing skills: The right candidate will be able to understand complex business topics and present them in the simplest, most concise language possible.Ability to provide 3-5 samples of marketing content similar in tone and structure to examples.Working knowledge of M&A, industry and company growth dynamics, and professional services marketing strategies.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. MBA or other relevant graduate degree, preferred.Positive attitude, ambition, and curiosity: The right candidate will enjoy interviewing as much as writing, love brainstorming and collaborating, and always put quality and insight above expedience.Experience analyzing, interpreting, and writing about quantitative data.Organized, detail-oriented, and diligent with the ability to meet deadlines and execute efficiently.To be considered, you must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.This description reflects the core activities of the role but is not intended to be all-inclusive.
