The American Heart Association is where you can make an extraordinary impact. Responsibilities The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Digital Content Manager . In this role, you will be responsible for curating, posting and editing original content on assigned American Heart Association web properties and for support of any web-related aspects of AHA communications campaigns as relevant or assigned. Responsible for building and managing relationships with content providers in AHA business units that pertain to assigned web properties, external contractors or agencies, and colleagues on the web team and across Integrated Marketing. Responsible for ensuring compliance with AHA brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and Science, Legal or other relevant reviews. Essential Job Duties: Curates, posts and edits high quality original content for use on web properties with a goal of creating an optimal user experience. This work may involve responding to input from requesters who use an intake form or by other methods. This work requires use of and familiarity with a variety of digital tools, including especially the content management system (Sitecore) and other web-related tools used to handle content generated for web pages, or appearing in digital magazines, interactive tools, apps, blogs, patient forums and videos. Regularly monitors digital trends and results, participating actively in monthly and quarterly metrics analysis and reporting for clients and AHA leadership. Works to understand available data and trends at all three levels of the user journey funnel (acquisition, engagement and conversion) and takes steps to advance progress at all three levels. Uses that data as part of close collaborations with web team leaders and colleagues, business unit clients, and the Integrated Marketing team to continuously enhance content on assigned websites and improve overall site quality. Ensures that messaging and digital content aligns with the vision and strategies for assigned websites as well as to the articulated goals of the relevant business units, Integrated Marketing, and the AHA. Works to become a content expert and go-to resource in assigned areas of focus. Leverages other teams (Editorial, Science, Research, etc.) to help keep content timely (including but not limited to science review), accurate and relevant for the audiences of each assigned website. Builds and maintains effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, writers, editors, and other digital support professionals (including vendors) engaging in digital content development and online program participation. Actively participates in required department, team and 1-1 meetings, including those regularly scheduled or adhoc. Accepts and supports various adhoc web team assignments such as quality assurance testing of sites or software after changes. When needed or requested, performs digital content audits and/or gap analyses to increase and improve inventory of web content. May align workflow and production review by assigned staff to ensure delivered materials meet deadlines, content quality and audience requirements. Provides content support for proposal development to acquire or renew potential and existing sponsors. Understands, interprets and communicates digital capabilities/limitations to assigned leadership team. Ensures the AHA is meeting contractual obligations. Reports expenses timely, attends trainings in support of professional growth or a development plan, and supports events and programs that are an integral part of the AHA culture and fundraising efforts. Take a look at the experience we require: Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Writing, English, Science, Communications, or related area Five (5) years of experience in digital content creation and digital project management Five (5) years of advanced computer literacy (All MS Office products, Internet Explorer and other browsers, and previous experience with a content management system) Knowledge of digital publication and production process with four (4) years experience. Ability to recognize and recommend digital content enhancements for accessibility and engagement with four (4) years experience.
