The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for communicating the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) brand to external and internal audiences across digital platforms. This is accomplished through a high level of researching, writing, editing and maintaining content for hospital and affiliated Internet and Intranet Web sites. Working within the content management system, this position collaborates with vendor content experts, internal and external copy writers, marketing liaisons, graphic artists and department staff to develop content that is timely, relevant and reliable. Location: ACH- St. Petersburg, Florida Hours: 8:30a-5p Requirements: Produces high-quality short, medium and long-form digital copy that incorporates best practices for digital use Partners with the design team to coordinate copy with visual elements to enhance and maximize content effectiveness Reviews all content submitted for publication to the Web sites to ensure it is accurate, error-free and consistent with the site’s “look and feel” Conceptualizes and actualizes content into static or dynamic web pages Transforms that content into digital-friendly content, all while maintaining high quality standards regarding text, graphics, video, hyperlinks, SEO, etc. Maintains effectiveness and veracity of digital content and supports development and continuation of content strategy Trains and educates hospital departments on use of the Content Management System(s)(CMS), web sites, marketing business processes, and applications Develops and monitors tracking and evaluation criteria for digital content Acts as liaison with internet and intranet web site and Content Management System end-users for the purpose of maintaining, upgrading and improving these systems Manages workflow and tracks progress of writing and editing assignments through project management tools (e.g. Workfront): attends regular production meetings, reporting progress to stakeholders; identifies and resolves issues to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 4 years relevant experience in digital content creation Experience in digital communications, marketing, public relations, or related field Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn and use new software and technology Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, physicians, trustees, and community representatives and to author compelling communications for consumption across digital platforms Good understanding of digital marketing principles including content strategy, distribution and execution Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with impeccable grammar skills Ability to meet tough deadlines and juggle multiple projects Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action employers.
