As part of our team, the Digital Content Writer will be an amazing inbound marketer who will create valuable and educational content for our company. You will be in charge of content creation and production that will in turn attract site traffic and convert that traffic into new leads for the business, as well as educate existing and prospective clients about all the insurance information they need to know. Our goal is to become the industry leader in insurance education by developing content that is more helpful and informative than any other content out there.Responsibilities:Navigate the content development lifecycle, including idea generation, interviewing, writing, approvals, production, compliance, and publicationManage and maintain a strategic editorial calendarCreate original and engaging content for publication on multiple channels including blogs, website copy, print materials, digital, landing pages, social media, e-newsletters, articles, white papers, infographics, video and more all used to attract, support, and engage with prospective and existing customersWork with the team and subject matter experts, collaborating and interviewing them to develop ideas and educational contentContribute to search engine optimization (SEO) efforts throughout the entire content lifecycle, including but not limited to identifying target keywords, writing and implementing optimized content, measuring and evaluating its effectiveness, and making updates as neededUse HubSpot to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them (using dynamic workflows) into converted customersEnsure compliance with the law (e.g. copyright and data protection)Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience’s attentionReport on core metrics to company leadershipSuccess Criteria:Produce up to 3 content articles per weekAn increase in defined engagement metricsWebsite and social media traffic growthIncreases in key search engine keyword rankingsIncrease in conversion metricsAcquire customer feedback and testimonials/case studiesRequirements:A love for the written word with exceptional writing and editing skills, for both long-form and real-time contentThe ability to translate complex information into easily digestible, engaging content using They Ask, You Answer principlesProactivity in staying up-to-date on all the latest trends and best practicesExceptional organizational, communication (written, verbal, visual), and listening skillsMust have strong people and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently, as neededUnderstanding of the value of content marketing and social media marketingThe ability to anticipate and embrace change; and be flexible in changing conditionsWillingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasksOperates well with feedback, both giving and receivingHas a team mentality!Bonus: BA/BS degree with concentration in Communication, English, Journalism, or equivalent work experienceBonus: experience with programs such as: HubSpot, WordPress, Google Analytics, Google keywords, CanvaBonus: Willingness to occasionally be on cameraIn addition to submitting your resume, please answer the following questions (Bonus points if you answer via video).How did you learn about the position and what prompted you to apply?Why are you interested in a career in marketing, specifically, content marketing?What’s your favorite and least favorite part about the writing process?What are your professional goals?
