About the Position The Digital Marketing Content Writer reports to the Digital Marketing Manager and works alongside the Digital Marketing Strategist (sensing a theme here?). The person in this role will focus on developing new marketing content and campaigns that contribute to achieving marketing and sales objectives. They will assist the DMM and DMS with the almighty editorial calendar, pitching content and campaign ideas of their own, evaluating content campaign results, and workshopping ideas with other departments as needed. This is not a social media role (we’ve got that covered!) but the successful candidate will understand how to frame content for social media and use social listening to develop content. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creative control (but appreciates an excellent editor); either has or is working to develop SEO and other digital content strategy skills, including comfort with analytics; and has demonstrated interest in and/or aptitude for creating engaging content in the B2B software sector. This is a position with room to grow depending on the successful candidate’s strengths and interests, and professional development is encouraged. What You’ll Be Doing Developing, pitching, and writing optimized blog posts for the Issuetrak Blog Contributing to the editorial direction taken by the Issuetrak Blog Collaborating with the rest of the Digital Marketing Strategy team on cohesive campaigns Exploring content partnerships and trades with related digital publications and contributing to our link-building strategy Collecting, evaluating, and applying data and analytics on content performance Coordinating with all departments to support internal projects Requirements Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience leading to excellent written and verbal communication skills, including impeccable American English grammar, usage, and mechanics Demonstrated proficiency in blog, article, or similar writing through professional experience or a content portfolio Ability to pass a short edit test Excellent customer service abilities Collaborative, team-focused individual Excellent communication and decision-making skills Digital versatility, including familiarity with digital tools (like Slack, Asana, etc.) and communication channels (from Reddit to TikTok) and/or comfort with adopting new ones Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with HubSpot CRM and/or CMS 1-2 years of experience in content marketing or a similar role 1-2 years of experience in an SEO-focused role and/or SEO certification 1-2 years of experience writing content for landing pages and/or pillar pages Familiarity with short video creation (recording a Zoom interview, making a reel, etc.) Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package to all of our employees, including the following: Generous PTO package 13 paid holidays A day off for your birthday Time off for volunteering Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k Match Hybrid workplace Flex schedules available DoorDash Pass|
