|Job Description :||Grant Writer- Research Grant Opportunities, Write and Edit Grant PackagesJob Position: Grant WriterJob Overview: The Grant Writer is responsible for working with clients to research-targeted grant opportunities in federal databases. Knowledge of state and private sector grant databases is encouraged. One of the main functions of this job is to act as a consultant to a client regarding qualifying funding opportunity notices and then working with the client to develop a complete grant application package. This position requires someone who can work independently and has a firm grasp on time management. We are looking for someone who possesses strong writing skills and excellent communication. Experience with using grants.gov is preferred but training will be provided.About USFCR: USFCR is the largest and most trusted System for Award Management (SAM) registration and renewal services company. We also provide set-aside registrations and certifications, including women-owned, veteran-owned, HUBZone, 8(a) Business Development Program, and other federal contracting consulting services, training, and technology.KEY TASKS: Write coherent, organized, and compelling grant applications that help each client achieve their funding goals.Work with the client on creating a coherent voice within their documentation, format relevant information and develop project narratives. documentsWork closely with other departments to collect client information as needed for the various registrations needed to partake in federal grant opportunities.Editing proposal drafts, checking final proposal package for accuracy, and ensuring proposals are successfully submitted by the deadline.Maintain templates to be used with future clients and follow all industry standards.Keep accurate electronic records of client grant proposal and associated forms.Help clients submit letters of support from partner organizations.Research new grant funding opportunities.Track, report and organize all client documents.Maintain an openness to take on new copywriting opportunities within USFCR as needed.KEY RESULT AREAS: Regularly submit federal grant application packages for clients and keep track of the rate of success.Be familiar with searching funding opportunity databases across multiple online platforms.Improve client retention rate within the grant program and build long term relationships between USFCR and the client.Create reputation as the in-house resource for grant/funding content writing.SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of two years of experience in with specialty writing, editing and online applicationsBachelor’s degree or comparable work history in journalism, communications, public relations, grant writing, creative copy writingStrong sense of time managementSelf-motivated to learn, if not already familiar with federal grantsExperience in collecting data and researchExperience implementing professional emails and writing executive summariesWorking knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Good organization and attention to details.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:Our offices are sprayed regularly for COVID Disinfection.
