Summary: GSTV is seeking a talented and passionate creative to lead the team members and drive the goals and objectives of our dedicated in-house creative and content studio. This studio interprets and reimagines the needs of our viewers and partners alike into creative and contextual initiatives, delivering a connection that ignites the passions of our audience in engagement and action. The Head of Creative & Content Studio will be responsible for relentlessly elevating the creative quality of all aspects of our daily broadcast show and consumer experience (creative ad solutions, retailer promotions, content, etc.) while motivating and inspiring the talented members of your team. Your passion and leadership consistently delivers high quality work at the crossroads of creative ideation, innovation, and execution excellence to ensure a high-value, seamless and engaging experience for our viewers and partners. Responsibilities: Lead, manage and inspire the Creative & Content Studio Team. Plan, develop and implement the studio’s overall strategy & roadmap based on specific goals and objectives while effectively measuring results. Oversee overarching departmental and project-based budgets, timelines, and deliverables. Facilitate and deliver a world-class highly effective and efficient creative production and approval process internally and externally. Ensure that a high quality of creativity is upheld with an impeccable attention to detail. Drive consistent ideation and development of high value, relevant and impactful ideas that deliver/support revenue with our advertising partners and drive positive engagement with our viewers. Manage the creative process from concept to completion for all studio projects, including, but not limited to: brainstorming concepts, writing scripts, drafting storyboards, selection of music and audio, video production & post-production, advertiser ad spots and extensions, retailer promotions, demo and collateral videos, GSTV on-air bumpers, branded advertiser content, and network featured content. Manage and produce creative guidelines and specs for all video solutions across variety of platforms/servers and advertiser categories. Collaborate and ideate internally and with established and/or prospective 3rd party content providers to ensure content delivers a premium on-air consumer experience conducive to our enviornment. Continuously analyze, interpret and communicate best practices for on-air creative execution with advertising partners to ensure the most effective creative and ad solutions are utilized to achieve results. Collaborate with sales on a regular basis to deliver client needs and attend client/agency meetings to present creative concepts and provide consultative services. Regularly collaborate with marketing team on ideation and GTM video deliverables while also ensuring all GSTV branded deliverables by the studio are cohesive and connected with GSTV brand strategy. Negotiate and manage third-party clearances and licensing necessary for production. Manage and cultivate professional development of all team members by providing mentorship, consistent feedback, training, and growth opportunities. Ensure timely and informative communication takes place relative to the studio’s focus and deliverables to internal teams and companywide. Study the creative, content and media marketplace, remaining current on industry trends and applying/sharing learnings. Requirements: Adobe Creative Suite PhotoShop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, InDesign, Acrobat, Audition – Intermediate. Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook – Intermediate. Proven track record of being solution-oriented serving as a creative idea generator to solve internal and external creative and content requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Art, Media, Video Production, Film Studies, or Graphic Design. 8-10 years’ experience working in a creative and content capacity at a media company and/or agency. Extra Qualifiers: Experience in script writing. Ability to rough out (drawn) storyboards. Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require!
