IBM Systems Lab Services is seeking a content professional with expertise creating technical content and content strategy, and who is passionate about technology to join our team. As a Business Writer in Lab Services, you’ll be in a fast-paced role, responsible for the creation of social content, thought leadership content development and coordination, thought leadership training/coaching, content pipeline management, publication coordination, campaign creation and production, video scripts, and client success stories edits. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of executives, business leaders and technical experts to create and promote assets that highlight thought leadership and organizational capabilities. The deliverables that you will work with cover a broad spectrum of mediums, including traditional print deliverables, client case studies, infographics, and social channels such as videos and blog posts. As a business writer you will have the opportunity to gain a foundational understanding of IBM technology solutions and produce content that delights our clients, business partners and IBM sellers. As a Business Writer, you will work with a team of content professionals that contribute to IBM and organizational business growth by applying their talent with design, writing, content development, and strong communication skills. This is an innovative and productive team that requires you to quickly build your knowledge and apply your content development expertise. This position is located anywhere in the USA. Your Role and Responsibilities Role and Responsibilities: Develop consumable content, including blog posts and articles, that are accurate, engaging, and relevant for publication on external and internal communication venues by working with subject matter technical experts. Support organizational executive team for all internal and external communications, develop stories to support key messages and drive delivery and promotion of content to appropriate communication channels Contribute to strategic social and content strategy planning with Lab Services communications team, including specific campaigns Develop client case studies Collect information from existing assets, research, and interviews Manage relationships and facilitate interviews with subject matter experts Work with assigned IBM team to identify content opportunities and create content that helps to increase brand awareness, engagement, and amplification Manage content pipeline and revision process with various IBM stakeholders Coordinate publication and content syndication with social business managers Pro-actively communicate with sponsors to provide status updates and resolve issues Required Technical and Professional Expertise Required Technical and Professional Expertise 3+ years’ experience writing, curating, and editing content for accuracy, clarity, and usability for a technical audience. Success working in a dynamic virtual environment across multiple geographies. Proven ability to perform and use independent research. Excellent oral communication skills. Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Degree in Writing, English, Journalism, Communication, Information Design, or related field, or a technical degree. Experience writing for globalization and accessibility. Ability to document detailed technical content.
