Job Title: Manager, Creative Content Division: Communications & Brand Strategy Department: Creative Content Reports To: Assistant Vice President, Creative Content FLSA Status: Exempt Level: Senior Professional Updated: February 2022 Position Overview: The Brand Strategy division at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is looking to complement our talented team of designers, writers and artists with a creative content manager. This is a chance to story-tell, shape the brand DNA and design for the largest manufacturing association in the country, which represents many of the most innovative and tech-leading companies in the world—companies such as Pfizer, Nike, Harley-Davidson, Intel, Microsoft and Dow. The ideal candidate understands the power of design and story to change perceptions, empower people and create unique moments that stay with an audience. This individual will report to the assistant vice president of creative content to bring strategic ideas to life through creative ideation and flawless execution. This position requires a strong and highly motivated individual with well-developed critical thinking skills and excitement for design and breakthrough creative who can help us stay organized throughout the creative development process. Day to Day Responsibilities: Review and assess incoming creative project requests within our project management platform, Lytho (formerly inMotion) Communicate clearly and effectively with requesting departments to quickly and efficiently arrive at a shared understanding of design requirements, project objectives, deadlines and budgets as necessary in order to effectively produce desired products as specified and to minimize the number and extent of necessary revisions. Create and monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of creative assets/products Coordinate with other departments to provide project updates and schedule/facilitate creative meetings with Assistant VP/designers when needed Manage and maintain Brand Center resources for the NAM, The Manufacturing Institute and other sub-brands Support the drafting and updating of Brand guidelines. Source and manage freelance creatives, outside production companies and print vendors Ensure that all creative output adheres to established style guides to maintain the integrity of the brands Advise the team on design across all media—web, social media, video, physical production displays and print Provide analysis of creative team output and help identify areas for process improvement Organizing, managing and updating files for process optimization within the creative team Monitor the competitive landscape to constantly stay abreast of new creative developments and approaches Reach across disciplines and departments to demonstrate how creative can be used to shape lasting and meaningful relationships with our audiences and drive results Build strong relationships with team members across all departments through direct and clearly communications and being highly attentive to client needs. Qualifications: Minimum 1-5 years related experience in creative project management Exceptional communication, attention to detail and organizational skills A strategic mindset, with a demonstrated ability to understand clients’ business challenges and deliver creative solutions Highly collaborative, motivated and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills Demonstrated understanding of marcom strategies, tactics, and technologies Proficient in Microsoft Office Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Demonstrated understanding of interactive media production and digital mediums Understanding and working knowledge of social media Experience with Lytho (formerly inMotion) is a plus Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
