Job Description : Southwestern College Professional Studies, Wichita, KS seeks a Marketing Content and Event Manager to develop, deploy, enhance, and monitor marketing initiatives. This position will serve as a ‘front-line’ marketing resource responsible for managing both traditional channels and new media. This person will also employ a series of metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and materials while continually measuring return on Investment (ROI). The Marketing Content and Event Manager will be responsible for the Southwestern College Professional Studies website, as well as creating high quality, shareable content; delivering engaging emails; updating social media platforms; managing social media advertising, and coordinating and planning events – and in all ways should strengthen the reputation of Southwestern College. This position reports to the AVP of Professional Studies. Duties include, but are not limited to: Create, update, and manage content on the Southwestern College Professional Studies’ website ( using the Website Content Management System (CMS) ensuring website content is relevant, current and continually changing. Co-develop an annual web content strategy Regularly review the website to ensure images, videos, copy, etc. are representative of the college, correct and up-to-date Manage and schedule events, college fairs, and other related promotional activities. Utilize Salesforce Marketing Cloud email system to create strategic email marketing campaigns Write content and create videos for the website and social media platforms that support marketing communication strategy. Create needed graphics to build a brand across all social media using Adobe Creative Suite. Possess a strong awareness of the social and digital media landscape, new technologies, and products Manage, track, and report on marketing expenses and budget. Ensure all marketing collateral are continually up-to-date and ‘on-brand.’ Assist with concept development of marketing collateral (e.g., course schedule, degree sheets, brochures, posters, conference displays) and actively maintain throughout the program lifecycle. Review and develop a full range of marketing initiatives (e,g., learner referral communications, alumni referral communications, micro-websites). Play a key role in the development of overall communication strategy. Identify and develop relationships with internal and external partners for implementation support (e.g., graphic design, website design, copywriting, photography, press releases, interactive marketing). Maintain a professional, collegial representation of Professional Studies to the general public, campus offices, faculty members, learners, and other staff members Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a closely related field required 3-5 years of experience Experience with Marketing Automation Systems (Experience with Marketing Cloud a plus). Comfort working within web, digital, and social media systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Design-focus with a good eye for compelling digital and print design Must feel comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment Experience executing paid social media campaigns a plus Experience in graphic design and photography Experience in video production and editing Familiarity using the Adobe Creative Suite -Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, and After Effects a plus Strong skills in creating original content that targets a specific audience and meets institutional objectives Able to staff special events as assigned To apply, submit a cover letter, resume, and the complete contact information for three (3) professional references to Review of applications will begin immediately and the position will remain open until a candidate is selected.
