JOB OVERVIEW: As a member of the Marketing team, the Marketing Content Coordinator will write key communications that support brand initiatives for Van Drunen Farms and FutureCeuticals. Reporting to the Director of Content and Communications, the person in this role will be responsible for crafting various types of content for primarily external communications. A successful candidate will have excellent writing and communications skills, and organizational effectiveness. This person needs to be versatile and comfortable working across multiple channels creating content for a variety of marketing communications materials (print and digital) including but not limited to eblasts, social media, advertisements, brand literature, sales collateral, websites, and customer-facing communications that represent the brands. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Writing and editing marketing communications materials that are grounded in brand strategy, positioning, and key messaging In addition to crafting content, provide support for communications created by the greater content team such as eblasts, press releases, white papers, blogs, marketing slicks, customer presentations, and other corporate communications, as needed Act as channel owner for social media, including the writing and development of company social media posts, following best practices for social media, and monitoring and managing those communities Partner closely and coordinate efforts with other members of the content team and Marketing Department to ensure uniformity and compliance with branding standards and messaging Align with brand managers, marketing directors/managers, and project leads on key strategies and initiatives as it pertains to company brands and products Support marketing initiatives through the development of proactive and meaningful communications that build brand awareness and thought leadership Participate in the ideation and creative development process with the content team on brand activation Report on eblast metrics and other campaign outcomes As needed, assist other departments with the development of communication documents, social media posts and ad campaigns JOB EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in Communications, or combined with Marketing KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Skilled in crafting messaging for a broad range of communications mediums and ability to creatively transform information into meaningful messaging across a diverse product portfolio Skilled in content creation—must be part journalist, part copywriter, part storyteller, while possessing the ability to inform, inspire, entertain, and influence Skilled in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) as well as in using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Knowledgeable in social media management, listening, and agility to craft appropriate messaging and create thoughtful imagery for all social media platforms and audiences Skilled in both writing and interpreting communication strategy and creative brief documents to support brand initiatives and effectively craft on-brand content Creativity and strong sense of concept development, as well as problem-solving, research and presentation abilities Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities simultaneously, reprioritizing as needed and maintaining flexibility Solid digital and creative skills to create engaging content marketing and communications tools Experienced in building content calendars and scheduling/publishing content Previous experience with campaign measurement tools and techniques Strong teamwork, time management, and project management skills; Deadline- and detail-oriented EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing Communications, Journalism, or another related field required Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
