|Job Description :||Marketing Content Editor The George Mason University College of Education and Human Development (CEHD), Office of Admissions, invites applications for a part-time Marketing Content Editor to edit and proofread content for marketing assets including webpages, advertisements, email campaigns, print pieces and more. About the Position: The Marketing Content Editor will revise text provided by internal colleagues and clients, as well as external freelancers and vendors, to align content with the style, voice, messaging, and appropriate format. The person in this role should have a good understanding of copywriting best practices, and exceptional understanding of style, spelling and grammar. Responsibilities: Edit content to align with George Mason University style and voice, and to align with provided marketing goals; Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure content is consistent with desired style, brand, and message; and Work directly within the College of Education and Human Development’s digital platforms, including email marketing and web content management systems. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Some related experience (typically 2+ years) in editing, writing, and/or web content management; Exceptional attention to detail and focus on quality control; Excellent writing, organizational, project management, and time management skills; and Knowledge of AP and Chicago style, and ability to quickly learn and apply the Mason Editorial Style Guide to all editing projects. Preferred Qualifications: Practical experience with application of SEO best practices; Experience with digital marketing tools such as web content management systems and email marketing platforms; and Experience in HTML editing and Google Analytics experience.
