|Job Description :||Job Summary: The Marketing Content Strategist must be an effective leader, collaborative, and strong communicator, capable of working with key stakeholders in multiple teams. They will develop, propose, and sell new ideas, strategies, concepts, and tactics—then guide those projects to completion. In this role you will be expected to flex both your analytical and creative muscles, thinking long term as we optimize our work throughout the customer journey life cycle. You must be able to work at the strategic level (generating growth ideas) and at the tactical level (developing and writing content). The successful candidate will have extensive experience as a Content Strategist and a proven track record of developing content across multiple channels to drive adoption of a professional service or product, with an emphasis on SaaS or technology-related content. You will ensure that the most relevant messages are being surfaced, at the right time, to the right customers. You not only adapt to change well, you thrive in an ever-changing environment. Our content team is evolving from a shared service model to a true strategic, content first approach. You are a change agent whose input and feedback is critical to the success of our projects and the team. Job Duties: Conceptualize, build, and write effective content programs that drive awareness and engagement with audience segments within multiple verticals or industries. Project manage content programs from inception to completion, including necessary ongoing maintenance of content. Have a deep understanding of the customer, with obsessive understanding of new trends, and opportunities. Conduct the content ideation process when needed with necessary stakeholders to ensure persona/journey alignment for all content development. Comfortable working in a collaborative environment, where multiple key stakeholders weigh in on the content as we work together as a team to deliver a superior product. Help apply and maintain consistency with content standards and evolve the company’s voice across new segments and industries. Qualifications: 8+ years of experience as a content strategist, social strategist, digital strategist, content writer/creator, or another relevant role. Requires a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Excellent verbal and interviewing communication skills, particularly when interfacing with senior-level executives and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand their marketing/content development requirements and develop marketing and social content for both business and technical audiences. Ability to self-sufficiently multitask and manage projects in a deadline-driven environment. Outstanding writing skills for both business and technical content, including the ability to multitask when developing content for different styles and types of marketing content. Ability to use data from multiple sources to tell the story of how content is performing as well as influence future content efforts. Growth mindset with a desire to learn, a tendency to embrace challenges, see failures as essential to mastery, and find lessons and inspiration in the success of others. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google docs, Slack or any other internal communications platform, project management software such as Jira or Workfront and content editorial calendar software like DivvyHQ.
