|Job Description :||St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology Reports To: The Marketing Copywriter will report to the Vice President of Marketing Job Overview: The primary role of the Marketing Copywriter will be to manage the email marketing for all brands of the St. Paul Center, including writing all emails and overseeing the email marketing to plan and execute a successful schedule. The position requires the ability to write a variety of copy for all departments of the St. Paul Center. Other writing responsibilities include but are not limited to podcast show notes, scripts for fundraising and marketing efforts, writing and editing fundraising letters, ad copy and feature writing for the St. Paul Center Magazine and other platforms, product descriptions, and events assets. Marketing Copywriter will take responsibility for managing deadlines and keeping abreast of production schedules for various podcasts, monthly donor newsletter and/or magazine, and quarterly fundraising appeals. Marketing Copywriter will also manage the St. Paul Center’s blog, to plan and execute content that promotes various departments. Secondary responsibilities include but are not limited to: building and maintaining basic web pages for events, the blog, and podcasts; assisting in promotional planning; and contributing to the advancement of the St. Paul Center’s mission to promote reading the Bible from the heart of the Church. Responsibilities and Duties: Manage email marketing for all brands of the St. Paul Center o Write email copy o Plan and execute cohesive email schedule o Manage email database o Work closely with the editorial department to ensure that all copy is accurate and polished o Work closely with design to ensure all marketing asset needs are clearly communicated o Coordinate with other departments, particularly advancement, to create a variety of assets Write content for product launch packages, including Emmaus Road Publishing launches or other products o Press releases, copy decks for different platforms, podcast commercials, etc. Work closely with audio/visual team, especially for podcast production o Stay abreast of production schedule for multiple podcasts o Write shownotes o Build web pages o Schedule emails Take ownership of deadlines and schedules for copy needs for monthly donor newsletter and/or magazine Build events pages on the St. Paul Center website o Write web copy for St. Paul Center events and products Write any other copy as needed for a variety of platforms Manage St. Paul Center blog Work with marketing department to create engaging marketing plan and execute plan to create content and drive sales Be familiar with marketing and promotions schedule, be aware of events and advancement schedule, be aware of editorial schedule as needed Reporting and optimizing Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English or theology preferred Experience in editing and writing, preferably for a variety of platforms Strong grasp of the English language Excellent written communication skills Time management and organization skills Knowledge of Chicago style preferred Knowledge of basic HTML preferred Knowledge of or ability to learn basic web platforms (WordPress, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp) Ability to multi-task Willingness to accept constructive criticism and make revisions and edits Flexibility Self-starter: ability to complete task without supervision Ability to work independently and on a team: must be able to take ownership of tasks while at the same time coordinating with other members of marketing and other departments Media design a plus Strong knowledge of Catholic Faith Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church|
