Voted a Best Credit Union to Work For, Notre Dame Federal Credit Union provides their partners (employees) with a living wage and competitive benefits.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as an exemplary writer, researches, plans and produces clean, concise, well-polished copy to support marketing campaigns and strategies for electronic/digital or print communications designed to drive traffic, engagement, acquisition, conversion and retention. Plan and execute the Notre Dame FCU content marketing strategy that helps to drive both awareness and leads while also engaging existing members. The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position. Other duties may be assigned.This position must effectively carry out the essential duties of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates the Core Values of the Credit Union in a positive manner. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Content Curation:Research and write marketing content for marketing campaigns, advertisements, emails, newsletters, blogs and informational pieces to meet the short and long-term goals of the credit union.Drive the content development and ongoing maintenance of owned websites, online banking, mobile banking, and mobile apps (with SEO in mind).Write and track brand messages to be used at Notre Dame FCU branches, such as on EMC, ATMs and Digital lobby screens.Review existing copy and make edits where appropriate keeping tone and audience in mind.Review and track email onboarding campaigns quarterly to keep our voice current.Assist in the development of content for social media as needed, alongside Social Media Specialist.Assist Graphics Department as needed with copy responsibilities.Propose new content ideas to leadership for consideration.Public Relations:Draft talking points, press releases, and original content to harness the power of earned media.Assist with ribbon cutting events and communications with local/national media to curate interview opportunities and media coverage.Assist with curating press lists.Content Guru Responsibilities:Ensures content adheres to brand standards, maintains a consistent voice, is keyword optimized and personalized to targeted audiences.Track messaging of service changes and promotional offers across all projects, examples of this would include changes in credit card offerings or new mobile app roll-out to ensure consistency.Participate in the development of campaigns that require content organization.Review, organize and identify member testimonials to look for potential member stories.Assist leadership with advertising and promotion activities.Assist with response through social media channels and website feedback as needed.Fully understands Notre Dame FCU’s solutions, products, and services to ensure proper positioning for clear, consistent communications.Perform other duties as assigned.Curate content using freelance contributors as needed.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No requirement.PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to solve problems and handle complex details. Must be able to handle multiple project simultaneously and must be a team player. The position requires the individual to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to present information effectively. Error-free work is expected.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or a similar field.Three years of working experience as a Copywriter, Editor, Content Specialist, PR Officer or similar role.Impeccable spelling, copywriting, grammar, sentence structure and written and verbal communication skills.Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of ownership of one’s work.Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skillsExperience proofreading work.Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities along with careful attention to detailOTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must operate a personal computer, as well as the following software applications: Microsoft Office products such asWord, and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat. The candidate must be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, and in the use of e-mail. Must be able to operate all standard office machinery such as telephone, computer, printers and scanners.REASONING ABILITY:A qualified person must be able to solve practical problems and to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Also, the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form will be required.LANGUAGE SKILLS:This position requires the ability to read and write correspondence. The ability to communicate effectively with others and using appropriate communication tools/methods is needed. Exceptional knowledge of the English language is preferred.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:This position will require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
