| Job Description : | Social Media Coordinator and CopywriterJob SummaryThe Social Media Coordinator and Copywriter will provide oversight of all top-level social media platforms for Zirrus and impactful, engaging and informative content for Zirrus’ website, printed publications. This person will also plan and implement strategies for social media best practices; stay informed on ever-evolving social and digital trends; and help Zirrus become a leader in the technology/telecommunications social media landscape. This individual will work closely with a talented team of marketing professionals to set and achieve social media and content goals and help reinforce the voice, tone and other characteristics of Zirrus’ recently launched rebrand.Essential Job FunctionsCoordinate content for Zirrus’ top-level social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedInWork with the Branding team to establish and implement clear social media strategic direction that follows Zirrus’ overall brand strategyStay in touch with the telecommunications industry, technology and social media issues and trends and decide how these best practices can benefit our social media presenceWork with professionals across all departments to best highlight their successes on social mediaDevelop social media strategies for special events (Annual Meeting, community events, career fairs, company promotions/events)Develop engaging multimedia content — videos, podcasts, photo galleries, etc. — to share across relevant social media platformsWork with graphic designer to create engaging, informative and attractive graphics to share across print, digital and social media platformsWork with Director of Branding, Advertising and Consumer Insights to implement best practices for social media advertising, other online marketing initiatives, and creating/sharing website content across social media platforms.Provide regular and informative social media analytics reportsEmbrace and promote the culture of Zirrus to the best of their abilitiesWrite marketing copy for Print, Digital, and Social Media.Write press releases for important eventsDevelop and write content for our marketing initiativesMaintain social media calendarMaintains calendar best practicesDevelops marketing-focused content for website landing pagesKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesWell-versed in top-level social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedInExceptional written and verbal communications skillsStrong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to adapt in an ever-changing industrySelf-starter, able to work independently, as well as function effectively in a teamExercise good judgement in complex and new situationsManage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet strict deadlinesMaintain confidentiality as neededEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing, or equivalent in professional experienceAt least two (2) years of professional experience in writing multiple types of content across print, digital, and social mediaProven experience and success in developing social media content and creating social media strategies for businessesExperience with social media dashboards and analytics software and the ability to use this information to measure social media successClear understanding of “branding” and the importance of maintaining and promoting same with social media voice and toneCandidates with video production and photography skills, a plusJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location |
