Echo. Kindle. Fire TV. Fire tablets. CX Labs, the internal agency for Amazon Devices and Services, is looking for a Senior Content Strategist to join the CX Labs Content team. We tell the stories that make customers care about our devices and services. Our strategists frame these stories. Our writers craft them. Our editors polish them. And our producers bring them to life. As an Associate Creative Director of Content Strategy, you will examine the entire customer journey and identify blind spots to help our customers understand how Amazon devices will make their lives better. You will use data to define narratives for Amazon’s proprietary devices and outline where, when, why and how we articulate core messaging. You will develop mechanisms (docs, decks, placemats) to create repeatable processes. And you will create an overarching content strategy that delivers a delightful, insightful, and useful customer experience. In this role you will look ahead to define seasonal or yearly campaigns to guide the creation, delivery, and governance of useful, usable content. You will evangelize findings, recommendations, and content specifications through customer scenarios, presentations, and comps You will collaborate with the insights, analytics, brand strategy, UX, product marketing, project management, design, and research teams. And you will offer new mechanisms to help customers get the right information at the right time, without ever compromising the Amazon voice and tone. Note: There is potential for this role to sit in Seattle, New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles RESPONSIBILITIES Drive Amazon Devices content strategy across multiple channels and outputs—online, offline, social, email, and others—and partner with cross-functional teams for the execution. Create content programs that increase product interest, awareness, engagement, and customer adoption. Oversee editorial calendars, analyze performance, and report to senior leadership regularly. Audit existing content and make recommendations for improvement in copy, layout/build, and rich media creation Mine large data sets in support of building out content strategy across all device products and channels. Champion Amazon Devices brand voice and style throughout all channels. Develop content frameworks, product narratives, and other deliverables that explain your recommendations and help internal clients understand the practice of content strategy. Work strategically with content writers and producers to concept big ideas and campaigns. Lead content strategy workshops with key stakeholders. Partner with our IP Content Strategist and other cross-functional teams to leverage media assets (text, photo, video, audio) to stitch together stories that drive customer engagement. Adhere to and evolve brand and voice guidelines. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate best practices, strategy, and story choices. Proven ability to present to all levels within an organization, both verbally and in writing. Experience creating content strategy for consumer technology. Experience with social media data and email tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Track record of creating content strategy for various consumer audiences and product categories, managing multiple deliverables, and meeting deadlines. Passion for storytelling and creating compelling content.
