Job Description : Wayfair’s Physical Retail team is seeking a Senior Manager, Visual Content to direct a key function within the Visual Department that will enable the organization’s physical retail agenda. This role will be an integral part of the Visual Team that will help develop and implement the playbook to stand up and scale stores in North America across all five of Wayfair’s Brands (Wayfair, All Modern, Joss & Main, Birch Lane, Perigold.) The Senior Manager, Visual Content will work across the team and with cross-functional partners (e.g., Merchandising, Store Operations, Technology) to write and develop the communication for all visual direction for each brand. We are seeking a motivated leader who can help build the “visual voice” and provide thought leadership to ensure that our stores are a major contributor to the financial success of Wayfair’s physical retail platform. This role is based in Boston and reports to the Associate Director of Visual Communications. The Senior Manager, Visual Content has significant cross-functional responsibility and opportunity for exposure to the Physical Retail Leadership team. As the retail portfolio grows, this role will work to build out a team to manage visual content across all of our brands.. What You’ll Do: Write and develop the communication for all visual direction regardless of format including, but not limited to SOP’s, training materials, seasonal floorset documents, floorset updates, product knowledge and planograms for all 5 Wayfair brands Develop the “visual voice” for every brand, ensuring that visual content supports brand standards and coordinates with cross-functional partner communication to give associates a consistent brand experience Create strategies and guidelines for each type of visual communication to ensure that direction is easy to understand, efficient to execute and fun to read for the associate Ensure that all visuals (photos, illustrations, planograms, video) support visual content strategy Act as a liaison between all content/SOP vendors and the Visual Team Partner with Visual Merchandising on overall seasonal merchandising vision to ensure content adheres to strategies aligned to at the Retail Lab Work with Visual Communication partners to ensure all content gets incorporated into the appropriate format (e.g. InDesign document, Google document, video, etc.) Adhere to timelines and processes for seasonal visual reviews and leadership sign-offs Partner with Visual Operations to ensure all visual communications get sent to stores in a timely manner Support the launch of the Associate Home App, where all visual direction will live for the associate to access Make continuous improvements to the visual content process through automations, process redesign, or technology recommendations Help build and oversee a team to support increasing visual content and communication needs as more physical retail brands launch Train, mentor and support new Visual Content associates What You’ll Need: Physical retail experience required, with preferred experience in standing up a retail store program 5+ years of Visual or Store Operations content writing experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong business management skills; demonstrated ability to lead important strategic initiatives and multitask while keeping organized High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Google Workspace Proven team management and leadership skills; can inspire and motivate teams to bring future state vision to life Able to collaborate across all levels of the organization to achieve objectives Adaptability to organizational changes and complex structures High degree of integrity and confidence in one’s abilities as a business and visual leader Evidence of “scrappy startup execution” and a “get it done” attitude when time is tight and stakes are high Thrives in a high growth, ambiguous environment About Wayfair Inc.
