Job Description The Content Specialist/Strategist works with UX leads and a multidisciplinary team to identify and meet the content demands for various projects. Writes, edits and implements content based on the U.S. Bank content strategy, including brand style, voice and tone, customer focus and business goals. Reviews content with peers and senior content strategists. Observes user interviews and usability sessions. Analyzes and understands end-to-end customer experiences. Assists in gathering requirements and assessing content needs of a given project. Creates and updates content documents and works in Figma design files and content management systems. Provides strategic content recommendations and writing/editing support for UX teams, product managers, business lines, and other stakeholders. Drives, advocates and embodies a customer-centric perspective, resulting in consistent, simple and innovative experiences for our customers. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, with an emphasis on English, Writing, Technical Writing, Journalism, Content Strategy, or Library Science preferred, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree or greater preferred. Minimum five to eight years of related work experience. Ten or more years preferred. Preferred Skills/Experience Proven thought leadership in principles of content strategy and information architecture Deep experience writing a variety of digital content for instructional, transactional and marketing experiences – including navigation labels, form fields labels and messaging, error messages, contextual help messages, alert messages and FAQs. World class data collection and quantitative analysis experience Master at managing ambiguity, working autonomously and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Master at meeting ambitious deadlines and delivering high quality work on scheduling, including quickly turning around plans and reports. Exceptional at communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization. Deep knowledge of UX best practices. Familiar with delivering creative within an Agile environment.
