Nature of Work: Responsible for creating, organizing, distributing, and managing content across the Denver Nuggets official team website, mobile app, YouTube channel, and other digital platforms. Strong emphasis on written content creation and daily coverage of the team, its players, and events, and in support of and collaboration with other KSE departments and properties, including Altitude Sports, Altitude Radio, Marketing, Ticket Sales, Sponsorship, Retail Sales, Team Operations, and Community Relations. Examples of Work Performed: Cover the team on a daily basis through written content for the team website, including feature stories, game previews, practice and morning skate coverage, game recaps, sponsored content, articles recapping or promoting community/team/sponsored events, and breaking news. Produce, edit, and publishing day-to-day content for the team website. Organize team website, and keep content fresh on a daily basis. Update informational pages on team website as needed. Produce web content that is responsive and mobile-friendly. Responsible for publishing duties and overseeing their proper completion. Conduct interviews with players, coaching staff, team staff, and others within and outside of the organization, for use in articles on team website. Assist in capturing content (video and/or photo) at practices, team events, and games. Assist in organizing and communicating coverage at community events, sponsored activations, marketing and ticket sales initiatives, and fan-facing interactive opportunities. Assist in creating and/or editing video content for team website and other channels. Assist with content ideation and development. Contribute with tertiary content concepts intended to drive initiatives from Marketing, Ticket Sales, Community Relations, Sponsorship, Retail, and others. Responsible for organizing coverage and publishing plans, under guidance of Social/Digital Manager and department leadership. Contribute to overall content objectives and in alignment with overall strategy. Research industry-wide and league-shared best practices. Research analytics from the teams’ websites and other digital platforms to optimize our channels. Qualifications Minimum BA/BS in Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, or related field. High School or GED 4+ years working in digital content creation Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Experience and/or knowledge in basketball and NBA culture Photography and video editing experience Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong writing experience and background Knowledge and experience in coding and website management Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite Knowledge in Social Media best practices and writing experience, preferred.
