One of the new courses offered on the Ascent platform is called Partnerships Journey. The module educates female entrepreneurs about the value of business partnerships for driving business growth.

The second new module is known as the Entrepreneurial Leadership Journey. The course is designed to help women build and refine leadership skills to drive growth.

Putting women-led companies in a better growth position

It is important that women-owned businesses and female entrepreneurs who are considering starting their own businesses are aware of the new modules being offered on the Ascent platform. Access to this free tool can put women-led businesses in a better position for growth and success.

As Natalie Madeira Cofield, SBA Assistant Administrator of the Office for Women’s Business Ownership, noted, “With Administrator Guzman’s strong vision and action, we continue to enhance our entrepreneurship education experience through cutting-edge technology and timely online learning systems such as ascent.

“We look forward to announcing more educational initiatives to position our diverse small business ecosystems to thrive,” Cofield added.

Helping thousands of small businesses succeed

Since its launch in 2021, the SBA’s Ascent platform has helped nearly 50,000 companies and young entrepreneurs with vital business issues. These range from assisting in writing business plans to having capital available and informing you about legal aspects.

The new Ascent program modules expand the services and support offered to female entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The Partnerships Journey consists of four components, including the value of partnerships, opportunities and strategic growth. The Entrepreneurial Leadership Journey consists of 11 components designed to build corporate ownership and leadership trust, improve decision management and leadership techniques.

Small businesses can enroll in the Ascent program for free.
